Welcome!

Welcome to all our friends and members!

Welcome to the Mid Somerset Amateur Radio Club's website.

The club meets once a month in the Peter Street rooms in Shepton Mallet – details are under the club venue entry. Visitors and members alike are very welcome.

Visitors can attend any two meetings in the year free of charge. So, if you're just curious about amateur radio and would like to find out more then feel free to attend one of our regular club meetings.

Past meetings have covered antennas, computing technology, repeaters, code breaking, HF propagation, Sporadic E, the history of valves, and the Voyager spacecraft, as well as films, operating and bring and buy sales. We also put special-event stations on the air from time to time from the club rooms or other locations. If you have a topic or activity you'd like to hear about (or contribute) then please let us know and we'll try and fit it in.

There are many aspects to amateur radio that interest people in different ways, so make sure you see our events diary page to find out what's happening this month and ahead into the future. Be sure to see the news page to find out what's been happening in recent months.

Thank you for checking out the website. We look forward to seeing you very soon.
